Is it REALLY too late?

Sep 08, 2021

A friend of mine is in an arranged marriage.  She's from India, & her parents arranged her marriage when she was 26...WELL past her prime based on Indian norms.

We laughed as she shared her story & described 26 as "old".

Fascinating how much social norms impact timing & decision making overall, isn't it?

Norms differ from country to country, region to region, city to city & even from from family to family.

Yet we consider what other people do...What other people think we should do....Even what we think other people think we should do when making so many of our decisions

I'm not suggesting these things shouldn't be considered in some way.

But how often do we simply dismiss an idea or nagging desire because it's not the "norm"?

Because we want to make other people happy?

Because we care about what other people think?

"I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me," is one of the five biggest regrets of the dying.

So do YOU think you're too old?

Do YOU think it's too late?

What do YOU not want to regret?

Consider doing something outside the norm this weekend. 🙂 Have a great one!
